Experience the profound promise woven into Genesis Chapter 9, where God's covenant with Noah is illuminated by the vibrant symbol of the rainbow. What does this covenant truly signify, especially when the rainbow is seen through the lens of contemporary interpretations? Discover the deeper, spiritual essence of the rainbow as a divine assurance that the earth will never again be swallowed by floodwaters. I, Catherine, your host of Learning to Live in Truth, invite you to reflect on the potential conflicts between adopting powerful symbols for modern causes while striving to remain true to biblical teachings.

Join me for a moment of faith-filled prayer and reflection, as blessings are extended to every listener tuning into this spiritual journey. Together, we'll navigate the challenges of life with a reminder to trust in God rather than relying solely on our own understanding. As we prepare to explore Chapter 10, let love and encouragement guide us all, with prayers especially for those seeking them. Whether or not you already feel God's presence, may this episode offer reassurance and hope in your spiritual journey.

Speaker 1:

Hello, hello, and welcome back to Learning to Live in Truth. So glad to be before you one more time. I hope all is well. Hope you're having a great day. If you don't know who I am, my name is Catherine. Amen, obviously past of exposed life change ministries. Here I am your host. Amen To Learning to Live in Truth. Right here, on God's Diamonds and the Rupp, we are going book by book and verse by verse, hallelujah. We are on the countdown to going to YouTube, amen, where I'll be going live twice a week. Yes, twice a week, monday and another day. I'll let you know tomorrow what the other day is, but I am so glad to be before you one more time. Amen. If y'all are ready, I am ready.

Speaker 1:

Let us get into a prayer before the word Amen. Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god, for allowing us to stay in this time, to be able to get into your word. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you would use me to your glory. I pray that all that is said and done is pleasing in your sight. Father, we bless every diamond that is here, every ear, god. I pray that we can all hear what it is that you are saying to us as we go forth to get knowledge. I pray, god, that you would grant us understanding. Father, we love you so much, so, very grateful, so thankful. In jesus christ's name, we do pray, amen, amen, hallelujah. So we have been in genesis, amen, um, and now we are in chapter 9. Amen.

Speaker 1:

So if you would like to learn further on what's going on in the beginning, amen, go back to Genesis 1, which started at episode number 1. Yeah, season 5. Let me see, make it short. No, no, no, episode three, thirty-three, I'm sorry, episode thirty-three. We began Genesis one. Yeah, genesis one. So if you want to go back there, go ahead. Stop right here. You can continue this and go back and play catch up. Yeah, because I don't believe in starting in the middle. We ought to start fresh, start at the beginning of your chapter, when we are going after the word of God, amen.

Speaker 1:

So we left off on yesterday, at verse 12. We were talking about the covenant that God had made with Noah and his family, and he had let us know that we ought to. Well, he had given them provision. Yeah, that they could. They had authority and dominion over the animals, whether they was walking on the air, flying in the air, whatever they had dominion over it, amen. And that they could, too, eat the meat as long with the herbs and all of the vegetables and things of that sort, amen. And another thing that he commanded them to do was to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Yes, amen. He didn't say it one time in chapter 9, but he said it twice in chapter 9 for them to do that. And this is after, uh, the flood has happened, amen. And the covenant is coming forth. We're right there in the middle of it. So, uh, verse 12, he said.

Speaker 1:

And god said this is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you for perpetual generations. He said I do set my rainbow in the cloud. Okay, I'm going somewhere, he says, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Now, close, right there. Okay. So God has established. Okay. First, he says. He said I do set my bow, my bow, he says, in the cloud, my bow is the rainbow. Okay, attaching the rain, because that is what destroyed the earth, right? So he says I set my bow in the cloud. Okay, it's a token for a covenant between me and the earth. Okay, he said this. This is the token rainbow. He said, and it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the boat shall be seen in the cloud and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the water shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh, and the bow should be in the cloud and I will look upon it that I may see the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. Okay, now pause for a second. Now in our day I know I was going to go there.

Speaker 1:

Right, they, satan, has distorted the value of the rainbow. Okay, he's decided that he wants to snatch the meaning in the earth of the rainbow. Now we can see clearly, bible believing God, fearing men and women of God. We can see what the rainbow represents, amen. And see we have people have compromised so much so that they have taken what does not belong to them, okay, and made it theirs. Who am I talking about? I'm talking about those of the LBGTQ community. They've decided we're going to use all of the colors to represent what we do.

Speaker 1:

Now, these same people, um, individuals that have decided to take, uh, the colors to represent their culture, the colors to represent their culture. They, too, claim to be God-fearing men and women of God. They believe that Jesus died for them. Now it's like okay, which way is it going to be? Because you cannot have it both ways. You understand what I'm saying. You cannot have it both ways. Just because you know, you decided okay, I want purple to represent me. Oh, I want pink to represent me. Oh, I want this to represent me, I want that to represent me. So, instead of just taking a color and decided well, this is what I wanted to represent me, this is my favorite color, whatever, I'm gonna take all the colors, colors and put them together and call it this is my pride.

Speaker 1:

Come on, man, you are taking truth and distorting it, and the thing about it is is that you got babies that are growing up now that are being told they have no clue that the rainbow is attached to God. Amen. Do you understand what I'm saying? That's the thing. That's what happens when we compromise. We, instead, instead of standing on truth and sharing truth, we have decided well, I'm going to twist this a little bit to make it more me. Okay, this is me. This is me.

Speaker 1:

The devil is a liar. Everything, all things, everything was made for him and by him. Hallelujah. Everything was made for God, everything was made by God. You were made for God and by God. You cannot. People are just taking and snatching up the rainbow and saying this stands for this, when clearly I'm talking about believing God, fearing men and women. This is what he says. It means this is a covenant between Noah, his family or Bible-believing, god-fearing men and women. This is a covenant that he put in the sky to remind himself of what he would not do with all flesh at one time.

Speaker 1:

Come on, somebody. We have to. This is what we have to do and this is the primary reason why we are here at Learning to Live in Truth. It's that we need to learn the truth. Amen, we got to learn it Because the thing about it is, if we don't learn it, then we adopt our own truth or adopt what somebody else say, then we pass that thing on to the next generation and then the next generation comes, grows up being deceived, god being mocked, and then they don't know. And it's genuinely, because they don't know, because they haven't had anybody to speak truth to them. Look, here's the truth about it. It doesn't matter. It's that when we know better, we ought to do better. Come on somebody. When we know the truth, we ought to walk in the truth. Hallelujah, amen.

Speaker 1:

Compromising gets you nowhere. Amen, look, you want to look. This is my challenge to everyone. Get to a place where you want to, absolutely, without question or concern, know that when you leave this earth, you're going to heaven. Amen. You don't fear death, you're not worried about death Because you know that when you leave this earth, you're going to be in the place of peace. Come on somebody. This is where you got to get to. This is the challenge I laid before you. Amen, this is where you got to get to. This is the challenge I laid before you. Amen. You got to get to the place where you know whether, if you're in this earth, it's okay, but if I die, it's okay too, because I know where I'm going. Hallelujah, amen. So many. Look.

Speaker 1:

Jesus said I'm sorry, my mind is ramming on all over the place, but Jesus said I take the sting out of death. What do you mean when a bee stings you? What happened. It hurts, right. He said I take what the hurt, part of death, out of the picture. Amen, because your soul is not resting here in this earth, your soul is not resting in how you feel. Amen. Your soul is resting in eternal peace. Amen, that only comes from themselves. Hallelujah, amen. Things ain't gonna give you peace, people ain't gonna give you peace. The things of this world ain't gonna give you peace. It's not Everlasting. Peace comes from jesus grace and jesus christ alone. Hallelujah, amen. Let me finish up the passage of scripture. Amen, because we are almost at our time. Look, I hope everybody got it. I hope we didn't miss it. Hallelujah, we're right here.

Speaker 1:

17 now he said god said unto noah this is the token of my covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. He said me and all flesh. It wasn't just for Noah and his family, but he said this is between me. Me is God. And he said everything and anything that is living, people and animals. Yeah, he says this is my promise, this is my promise, amen. He says. And the sons of Noah they went for of the ark were Sheem, ham and Japheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah, and of them was the whole earth overspread, amen. Overspread that's an interesting word, right, but basically that just means that, through their lineage, this is how they replenished the earth. It began again with them after it was destroyed from what adam and eve had produced. Okay, in regard to people. So now these three men and their um babies, and generation after generation, they refilled the earth, amen, verse.

Speaker 1:

Verse 20, he says and all began to be an husbandman. And he planted a vineyard. Where did he get the seed? I mean, god had provision, hallelujah. God made provision. Everything is made for him and by him, hallelujah. How did this happen? How did it happen? You get to that place sometimes. How did this happen? How did it happen? Then people are on watching you, they're watching how that happened, how that happened, and you really can't give an answer outside of god's provision. Come on somebody. So, when you don't know how it happened or where it came from, just say god's provision, hallelujah. Come on somebody. Hallelujah, god's provision. He said.

Speaker 1:

He planted a vineyard verse 21 and he drank of the wine. That was drunken, he said. And he was uncovered within his tent. So, noah, he was first partaker of what he had planted and harvested. He drank the wine of the group of the grapes okay, the grapes. Okay, the grapes had sat so long that they had fermented it, in which, in our terms, it had turned to alcohol. Okay, and it probably was real potent, right? Because he got so drunk that he was completely naked in his tent.

Speaker 1:

He says 22 and ham, the father of canaan, saw the nakedness of his father. Ham is his son, he said, and told his two brethren without. And so he told his brother that daddy and that naked dog. And she and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both his shoulders and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were backward and they saw not their father's nakedness. So they covered him up without looking, and then, when they left out of the tent, they walked back so they would not see him naked. Verse 24, noah walked from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him. Now pause it for a second. When they said that Canaan, when they said to Ham and Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, okay, you know what that really means, don't you? He saw the nakedness. Okay, now I want to make sure that I got it right. I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Speaker 1:

The parent's sin often becomes a child's stumbling block. In this case, ham dishonored his father's sin in two ways. First, he dishonored his father by staring at his nakedness. Second, he increased both his sin and his father's shame by reporting his father's conditions to others. Later, the law stipulated curses for dishonoring a parent. So it's not what we think. Okay. First, we think obviously, the first thought is oh, he slept with his father. No, it was just the fact that he saw his father in that way and it dishonored him.

Speaker 1:

And once his father found out everything that was happening or had happened this is what happening said curse be canaan, which is his grandson. A servant of servants shall be he unto his brethren. And he said blessed, blessed be the Lord, god of Sheen, and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth and he shall dwell in the tents of Sheen, and Canaan shall be his servant. He says and Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years, and all the days of Noah was 950 years and he died. So I'm going to stop right there.

Speaker 1:

Amen, tomorrow, we'll pick up at 10. Amen, we'll pick up at 10. Oh, as y'all see me destroy these names, hallelujah, or hear me rather, but we're going to do it as best as we can, amen. So thank you for your presence. So we're done. Let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god for allowing us to make it through this passage of scripture. Thank you God for sharing with us how important the rainbow is. Thank you, god for every diamond.

Speaker 1:

I pray that everybody got what they were supposed to get.

Speaker 1:

We pray God. The blessings of the Lord be upon each and every one. There's a heart, a mind and an ear to hear and understand. I pray for everyone that said pray for me. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world who just exist, amen, who are living and breathing, because we all go through things, we all come out of things, we all go into things, and I just pray, god, that they would know you are there, you are in the midst of what is happening in their lives, but that we will totally continue to trust and lean and depend on you and not our own understanding. I pray for the ones who don't know you on today that they come to know you In the mighty and the precious name of jesus christ, I do pray. Amen, amen and amen.

Speaker 1:

All right, y'all, we got two more to go. We got two damn two more to go. I hope y'all come on back with me on tomorrow as we journey through chapter 10 of genesis. Amen, so much love, so many blessings from me to you. Y'all have a great and blessed day and night. Amen, love you so much. Y'all See you next time.
