God's Diamonds In The Ruff Podcast
#183 LTLT S5 EP 57: Genesis 9 Purpose in Destruction
Have you ever thought about what truly living in truth means? Join me, Catherine, as we embark on a heartfelt journey into Genesis 9, where we explore Noah’s covenant with God and its profound teachings. As we prepare for our exciting transition to YouTube, I share the joy of our connections and reflect on this spiritual journey we've been on together. We delve into the importance of engaging deeply with God's word, focusing on themes of fruitfulness, multiplication, and respecting the divinely set boundaries, particularly concerning the consumption of blood. It’s a rich tapestry of spiritual insight that invites you to ponder and apply these teachings in your own life.
In a spirit of gratitude and love, this episode celebrates the blessings we cherish and lifts up those we care about through the power of prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. We encourage you to explore the teachings of Genesis 9, starting at the 12th verse on tomorrow, with us as we emphasize the importance of learning to live in truth. With heartfelt prayers and blessings, we invite you to join us for the remaining days of the podcast as we prepare to gather once again on YouTube. Let’s continue to uplift one another, spreading positivity and faith in our shared journey. Amen, amen, and amen.

Hello, hello and welcome back to Learning to Live in Truth. So glad to be before you one more time. I hope all is well, hope you're having a great day, amen, hope that things are going the way you expected it to go, I think, right, yeah, so if you don't know who I am, I'm your host, catherine. Amen, and again, I'm glad that you have decided to listen on today. So a little bit of update on when we're transitioning over into YouTube, and that will begin on Monday. Yes, monday I will be live. I think I'll be live, yeah, on YouTube. I haven't decided the time, but hopefully by the end of the week we will know. I'm going to put up four more episodes today tuesday, wednesday, thursday and that's going to be the last of learning to live and treat here and I'm transitioning over to youtube.
Speaker 1:As I said before, I just enjoy um, being able to connect with people. I don't get to do that so much today or here, rather in this way. I started off going that way on Facebook. So if you want to check out any of my other learning to live live in truth study chapters, I guess you could call it. You can check that out on Facebook Live. Oh, not Facebook Live, I'm sorry. Facebook under my old page, or I guess I'm just not active on it. It's called Learning to Live in Truth.
Speaker 1:I'm just asking God how to weave this thing together, because so much going on, so much. I'm trying to hear him telling me to do things that I'm doing that he ain't telling me to do. Come on, now let's just be real about it. Hallelujah Again. I'm just trying to weave it together. Make it make sense that God gives all the glory, amen. So just keep on listening here. The last couple of days I'm going to give you, just keep on listening. Every last couple of days I'm going to give you exactly what's going to be going on as the Lord gives it to me. But today we're going to be picking up in Genesis 9. Genesis 9. I hope you listen to Friday and Saturday's episodes last week, powerful interviews that the Lord allowed me to be a part of. I'm always grateful, excited, when God allows a voice for God. Amen.
Speaker 1:So we are getting ready to start. Usually start praying within a minute. Today we're in three and that's okay. You heard me. Come home, somebody. Hallelujah, amen. I'm drinking my coffee too. Y'all All right, y'all are ready. I'm ready to get into it.
Speaker 1:So let's go ahead and pray, father. We thank you so much for embracing your mercy. Thank you, God, for allowing us this day, another opportunity, god, to get into your word. Pray, god, that you would use me to your glory. Pray, god, that every ear and every heart, every single diamond that is listening God, they be blessed by what they hear and what they receive. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you would use me, father. Pray that I would be able to pronunciate these words Amen. I pray for supernatural understanding, quickening, god. I pray that I would be able to differentiate what it is that you desire. I pray that everyone, each one, would just be ready to receive what it is you have to give. I pray for that one. I pray for me. I pray, god, that you would have your way. Bless your name as we bless your people. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray Amen, amen. All right, y'all.
Speaker 1:So we've been talking about Noah and, as I said, obviously we got some weeks. We've been working through Genesis. So if you haven't listened at all, you just want to hear specific teachings, go on back and take a look at what we have, michael and I and my husband. We have Michael and I, my husband. We have altogether 182 episodes up to this point. Yes, I believe in the last 60 episodes have been, or the last 57 episodes have been, all about learning to live in truth. And then we have God's diamonds in the rough Amen. And so, again, we are always excited that we can be a blessing to the kingdom, to anyone who has a desire to hear Amen.
Speaker 1:I know the things of God ain't so popular, yeah, but as a child of God, we got to learn to get into his word Amen. Not just get in there long enough to say I did it, but get in there long enough to understand what he's saying so we can apply it to our lives. You heard me Amen, hallelujah, to understand what he's saying, so we can apply it to our lives. Amen, hallelujah. So we've been talking about noah and the flood, amen.
Speaker 1:And how, um, god, he, he, he saved humanity. I guess you could say uh, through the life of of noah, because Noah was the only righteous one he said. He taught us that he repented of creating mankind just because they just chose their own way outside of his, and the one word that was really highlighted was violence. They were filled with violence, and so he just destroyed everything outside of male and female, the animals and Noah and his family. So we're here at night.
Speaker 1:He says God bless Noah and his sons. He said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and the fear the earth and the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth and upon all the fishes of the sea. Into your hand, are they delivered, every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you, even as the green herb. Have I given you all things but flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. Now I'll pause there just one second. When we look at 9, we can see that God has, in so many words, given Noah and his sons everything, and he instructs them to be fruitful, to multiply and to replenish. So fruitful Says to us Produce, produce, do something in the earth that is worth multiplying.
Speaker 1:Okay, make more, produce something and make more of it, and fill the earth, replenish this. Something was there, but now you got to redo it, it or replenish. Uh, do it again and give more. Amen, that makes sense. So, in other words, though, replace means like, say, your green bean was destroyed, okay, grow some more and make sure you grow even more than you had. Plenish the earth, refill the earth, bring more into the earth. Yeah, new ideas, fresh ideas. Come on somebody. You understand what I'm saying Hallelujah. When you're doing something new and you're inventing something new, look, that means it ain't never been there before. You're bringing something else into the earth that brings forth life, amen.
Speaker 1:I think it was Thomas Edison who created the light bulb. I hope I got it right. Suppose he hadn't created the light bulb. Come on somebody. You need a light for practically everything that you use these days, whether it's lighting your house. They need a light bulb in your TV, a light bulb in your refrigerator. Come on somebody. Hallelujah.
Speaker 1:He replenished the earth with this invention of the light bulb. Come on now, hallelujah. Same thing with cell phones, hallelujah, amen. Same thing with computers, same thing with Different types of equipment and offices, and all of that and on and on and on. Through time, we've replenished the earth. Amen To God. Be the glory, love.
Speaker 1:And then he said. Then he says you know All of the animals that's in the earth that I've provided, he said. Then he says you know all of the animals that's in the earth that I provided. He said they will fear you, meaning you have dominion over them, you have power over them. Isn't it so funny how we run from a hand, we run from a road to. We didn't run from this, that and the other. They're afraid of us. Come on, hallelujah, amen. They see us, they tremble. Based on the word right, he said the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth. Come on, he said, everything that's in the air, everything that moves on the earth. Look, we have dominion over it. So why do we allow it to have dominion over us? Come on, somebody, hallelujah. Then he said in 3. He said you know Whatever you want to eat, not just the greens, the vegetables, the fruits, he said, the meats as well, the animals.
Speaker 1:You can eat them. You have to kill them, but you can eat them. I have made it where it's okay for you to eat them. It's your choice, he says, but do not eat the blood, amen. Some folk will eat a steak and will put it on the grill all of about a couple of seconds. That's how bad, they want the blood. Come on somebody. That ain't good, oh, that's not good. To the word. He says do not eat the blood of the apple, hallelujah, amen.
Speaker 1:Now, me personally, when I eat my my um steak, I like mine medium well and that just means that it's still a little pink but there is no blood left in it. Just because to me, when it's well done, well, well done, it's tougher and your quality of your meat is not as well, it's not as good, especially when you got a piece of meat that ain't so tender. You get into the tenderloin and you know the tenderloin, that know they, uh, um, uh, the tenderloin. That's where you know that piece of meat. It's tender anyway. The t-bone, the serval, those pieces of meat are already tender because of where they're located on the body of the cow, yeah, so so they're already tender. No matter how you cook them, they're already tender.
Speaker 1:But coming on back to the point he says do not eat the blood, look at 5. He says and surely your blood of your lives will I require? At the hand of every beast, I require it. And at the hand of man, at the hand of every man's brother, I acquired the life of man. Whosoever shed man's blood by man, shall his blood be shed For in the image of God, may he be man. So the blood, the blood is important. I don't know if you thought that, but the blood is important to God. Basically, what he's saying is the blood is mine, hallelujah, that is his and it all belongs to him. Amen, hallelujah, it all belongs to him.
Speaker 1:Verse 7 he says and ye be ye, and you be ye, fruitful and multiply and bring forth. And you be ye, fruitful and multiply and bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein. So he says it yet again To be fruitful, multiply, replenish or bring forth abundantly. That just kind of explains the replenish. The replenish, basically, in the sight of god, says bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein, bring a lot and multiply what you got. Amen, so be productive. Amen, hallelujah, do something that he can bless it. Hallelujah, he wants to bless what you do. Amen.
Speaker 1:Verse 8. He said God spake unto Noah and to his sons with him, saying and I, behold, have established my covenant with you and with your seed after you. So my covenant, that's the promise he says, and with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle and of every beast of the earth with you, from all that go out of the ark to every beast of the earth, and I will establish my covenant with you. Says it again, another promise Neither shall all flesh be cut off anymore by the waters of a flood, neither shall there be, or neither shall there anymore be, a flood to destroy the earth. Now some would say in our day, now wait a minute, that's flooding all the time. Yeah, that was flooding in North Carolina recently. There was flooding at Hurricane Katrina. There was all kinds of flooding in lives lost. This is absolutely true. But what we got to understand is that this covenant is about destroying the whole earth. This was the thing. He would not destroy the whole earth by water, by flood. Come on, somebody.
Speaker 1:Now, this is God's world, so he have every right to allow, to allow what it is that he desires, because, whether folks want to honor God or not, he governs this earth. Amen, he is watching over every last one of us, every second of the day. Amen, hallelujah. So he is the only one that can righteously judge this earth. And when he flooded the earth, when did he righteously judged this earth? Amen, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:It's interesting to me how people will often time Try to turn the word around and say, well, god isn't God Because he allowed this to happen. He allowed that to happen. At the end of the day, this world belongs to him. Amen Again. Whether you honor him or not, you belong to him. Amen Now again, whether you honor him or not, you belong to him. Amen, he gets to say so when you leave this earth. He gets to say so when the people that you love leave this earth. The end of the day, amen and again. So again, just with that being said, he promised that he would not destroy the earth again by water. Amen, this was his promise and he does not break his promises. Hallelujah, amen. Now life might go by earth. Amen, I mean by water, but it doesn't necessarily mean he said, I won't flood the earth. That's what he did in the time of Noah, Amen. So I'm going to stop right there and we're going to get into the, the evidence Of the promise, tomorrow with the rainbow. The world has destroyed it, the meaning of the rainbow, but we're going to get into it on tomorrow. So let's go ahead and pray.
Speaker 1:Father, we thank you so much for your revelation. Thank you, god, for allowing us this time in your word. Thank you, god, for every hearer that is here listening. I pray, god, that you will continue to use me to your glory as I continue to go forth. I pray, god, as I uh take one step, you will take another step with me. Order my steps, god, in the way that you would have me to go. I pray that not just for myself. I pray that for any and everybody who's totally dependent upon you. Order our steps in the way that we ought to go as we navigate through this life, god, that we would go in the way that you would have us to Father.
Speaker 1:We continue to lift up those that we love, those that we care about. We thank you so much and we love you. We praise your name. We pray this prayer in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. We do pray Amen, amen, hallelujah. I hope y'all will come on back with me on tomorrow as we continue through this great chapter of chapter 9. Picking up at the 12th verse, amen, and continue these last couple of days out here on the podcast with me. We're learning to live in truth. I love you so much. So much love, so many. Blessings from me to you. Y'all have a great day and a great night. Amen, and we intend to send you here on tomorrow. Amen, amen and amen.
