Speaker 1:

Amen, hallelujah, amen. We could, but I won't. You heard me Because Everything is made for God. Amen, this is God's word. I just have to live. Come on somebody, amen. God has a plan For all of us. If you don't know, know who I am.

Speaker 1:

My name is Catherine Amen, pastor of Esposa In the home here. God has called me To open my book and verse by verse, in the word of God. I have went through most of the Bible, not all amen. Different seasons, different places. I've been all over the word of God, teaching and preaching amen. But I just wait and lean on the Lord, amen. Wait for him to tell me what to do next. Amen. So that's the posture we ought to have when it comes to the things of God. So if you're ready, I am ready.

Speaker 1:

So let's go ahead and pray, father. We thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god, for allowing us another opportunity to get into your word. I pray, father, that you would use me to your glory. I pray for every diamond that is here that their hearts and minds and their ears would be ready to receive, hear and understand what it is that you have to say. Pray, god, that you would speak a word into us that you would. At the end of the day, your way would prevail. Father, we love you so much. We're so very grateful and so thankful. We pray it in the accident. In Jesus' first name, we do pray, amen, amen, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

So we are picking up here in Genesis 7, verse 11. Verse 11. I hope that you listened yesterday. I hope that you are not coming in the middle of the chapter. If you did not, I would suggest stopping right here and going back to Wednesday's episode. Yeah, so that you can hear the entire chapter at least, if you haven't heard the whole book. Yeah, okay, so we are ready.

Speaker 1:

Verse 11 says in the 600th year of Noah's life uh, so he's 600 years old in the second month, in the 17th day of of the month the same day, were all the foundations of the great deep broken up in. The windows of heaven were open. Okay, so what was once the earth? His life couldn't even see the earth anymore. It was just water, water, water, because the heavens had opened up, it says, and the rain was upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights In the self same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth and the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons were with them.

Speaker 1:

Into the ark, all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort, he says. And they went in unto Noah, into the ark, two and two of all flesh. Wherein is the breath of life? Therein is the breath of life. And they that went in went in, male and female, of all flesh, as God had commanded him, and the Lord shut him in and the flood was forty days upon the earth and the waters increased and bare up the ark and it was lifted up above the earth and the waters prevailed and were increased greatly upon the earth and the ark went upon the face of the waters. So it just means that I want to on top of the water, because he was, you know, a very, you know a very, you know the majority of the ship.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and it says and the waters prevail exceedingly from the earth and all the high hills that were upon the whole heaven were covered 15 cubits upward did the waters prevail and the mountains were covered and all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both fowl and of cattle, of beasts and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man, all in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all which was upon the face of the ground, both man and cattle, and the creeping things and the fowl of the heaven, and they were destroyed from the earth and noah only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark. And the waters prevailed upon the earth and 150 days. So it rained for 40 days, it rained for 40 nights and then, after it finished raining, it says the water was there on the earth for 150 days after that. So 40 is that's going to be a month, and nine to 10 days, because you know some months got 30 days, some months got 31 days, so, um, and then you got 40 days, you got 40 nights, so all during the day and all during the night. Then you gotta add 150 days that the water just sat there and you know it's time and we're seeing it, and so 150 days, that's five months. Yeah, that's about five months where they were on the ark and God had made provision for all the animals and for Noah and all of the family. Well, no, I'm sorry, no, so that's six months. Yeah, for about six months, half of the year, they was on this ark watching the rain, waiting for the rain or the water to recede so that they could start so much rain that it covered the mountains and the hills 15 cubits above Above. Remember, that's 15, I mean 15 times 18 inches, and that's how high above the hills and the mountains they were. Man, that's a lot right, all over the world. Man, that's a lot right, all over the world. Man, that's a whole lot.

Speaker 1:

Let's go on to 8 and see what happens. Chapter 8, verse 1, he says and God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark, and God made a wind to pass over the earth and the waters assuaged, which is they began to receive. I think let's see what assuaged mean. I ain't never heard of that word. Let's see is in the commentary. Um, nope, let me see real quick. I'm pretty sure it's receded or started to go down or began to move. Let's be sure.

Speaker 1:

I'm looking at my dictionary on my phone, quickest thing I can get to. What's the word again? A swaged, swageduaged, assuaged, assuaged. Y'all bear with me A lot of A's in the dictionary. Y'all, make sure I'm spelling it right A-S-S-W. Okay, so C is swab, a swag Okay, so, okay.

Speaker 1:

So a swag is to soften in a figurative sense, to alley, migrate, ease or lessen as pain or grief, to appease or pacify as passion or tumulent, tumulent. I'm saying it wrong. Yeah, dissipate in strictness it signifies rather to moderate than to tranquilize or reduce to perfect peace or ease, to abate or subside. So yeah, they start to start to sink into the dirt, sink into the earth, the water, because obviously he says he remembered Noah. So he says the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained and the waters returned from off the earth continually. And the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained and the waters returned from off the earth continually and at the end of the 150 days the water was abated. Okay, so it was to the point where you couldn't see the water anymore. You couldn't see nothing. I'm sure it was soaking just like muddy. The earth was muddy, you know. Everything was just like. It was just so soft that you couldn't walk on it. Yeah, alright.

Speaker 1:

So verse 4 says the ark rested in the seventh month, on the sixteenth day of the month, upon the mountain of Arat, so inth day of the month, upon the mountain of arad, so in the middle of the month. So the waters decreased continually for the 10th month. So there was only another additional three months in the 10th month, on the first day of the month where the tops of the map. So they had been on this boat, on this ark for 10 months and are just now starting to see the tops of the mountains.

Speaker 1:

Wow, when it came to pass, at the end of the 40 days, noah opened the window of the ark which he had made and he sent a raven which went forth to and fro until the waters would dry up from off the earth. And he sent forth a dove from him to see if the waters was abated from off the face of the ground. But the dove found no rest for the sole of her feet and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. Then he put forth his hand and took her and pulled her into him, unto him, into the ark, and he stayed yet another seven days and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark and the dove came in to him in the evening and, lo, in her mouth was an olive Olive leaf. Plucked it off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth because there was a sign of life. There was a tree. Yeah, a tree is planted by the rivers of the water. We see that in Psalms 1. Yeah, we are like trees that are planted by the rivers of the water. Okay, this is actually the seed of a tree. It comes from out of the water. Now, ain't that something? Yeah, amen, hallelujah, hallelujah. So going forward, it says. And he stayed yet another seven days. So he got two more weeks and sent for the dove, which returned, not again unto him anymore.

Speaker 1:

They came to pass in 613 and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month so we would say January 1st the waters were dried up from off the earth and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked and behold, the face of the ground was dry. And in the second month, so they stayed another month after that, and in the second month, on the, the seventh day or the seventh and twentieth day of the month, so almost another whole entire month, that would be February 27th was the earth dry. Wow, right, he says. And God spake unto Noah saying Go forth of the ark, thou and thy wife and thy son, son's wives with thee, bring forth with thee every living thing, that is with thee, all of all flesh, both of fowl and of cattle and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon the earth. And Noah sent forth his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him, every beast, every creeping thing and every fowl and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth after their kinds, which went forth of the ark, which went forth of the ark.

Speaker 1:

And Noah built an altar unto the Lord and took of every clean beast, of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. So remember it was seven clean animals, male and female. This is why the clean animals were necessary for the offering. Okay, the offering is like saying thank you, father, for what you've done. Yeah, it says. And the Lord smelled a sweet Savior. And the Lord said in his own, in his heart I will not again curse the ground anymore, for man's sake. For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I again smite any more any. Everything living as I have done, while the earth remains sea time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease.

Speaker 1:

So wrap up chapter eight with, basically, the Lord saying you know, this one man, because of his obedience and his gratefulness and his thankfulness, yet again saves the world from going through this entire thing all over again, whether it be good, bad or ugly, you know. God, in a sense, said I'm going to deal with unrighteousness, amen, I'm going to deal with it. Nothing will cease. He says earth remaining. He said while the earth remains, seed, time for planting, harvest, planting and gathering, cold, he said look, and summer and winter, so there's seasons, there's circumstances, trials, tribulations, seasons. He said winter, so that's seasons. That's um circumstances, trials, tribulation, um uh, seasons. It's a day and night when I can see and when I can't. He says they won't cease, they will continue on because this is a part of life. Yeah, amen, that was a powerful word.

Speaker 1:

Amen, a lot of that did not need commentary. It was, you know, pretty straightforward hall. Hallelujah, amen, and I hope that you received what you were supposed to receive Hallelujah. Let's go ahead and pray, father. We thank you so much once again for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god, for allowing us to make it through.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, just a little bit more of your word. Thank you for your clarity and thank you for some understanding For those who didn't understand. I just pray, god, that you would do it. Only you can Bring revelation. Father, we bless your name as we bless your people. We pray this and we do it all in your precious name. In Jesus Christ's name, we do pray. Amen, amen and amen. I'm so glad that you stayed with me for this entire week. I hope you did Amen this entire week of learning to live in truth.
