What if understanding your divine purpose could change how you perceive your life journey? Join me as we embark on a spiritual exploration filled with profound themes of truth and purpose, inspired by biblical stories. Transitioning to YouTube has opened a new avenue for sharing insights, where I encourage listeners to recognize their potential as "Diamonds in the Ruff." Together, we seek divine guidance for a fulfilling life, drawing inspiration from Enoch's unique relationship with God. His story stirs reflections on the longevity of life in biblical times, raising questions about its intended purpose for spiritual growth and preparation for eternity.

In this episode, we also immerse ourselves in prayerful reflections on the book of Genesis, often regarded as the book of creation. Through heartfelt prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, we express gratitude for the opportunity to share our insights and the divine narratives shaping our understanding of the world and faith. As we unravel the lineage from Adam to Enoch, we uncover the significant lessons these stories impart on our lives today. Before wrapping up, I invite you to join me tomorrow for another enlightening session and extend my wishes for a blessed day and night. Amen and hallelujah!

Speaker 1:

Hello, hello, and welcome back Learning to live in truth, right here on God's Diamonds in the Rough. I am your host, catherine, and I am so glad to be with you one week. Amen. I pray that these past two days have been good to you. Amen. I pray that these past two days have been good to you. Amen.

Speaker 1:

In regard to listening here, if you haven't listened, I want to encourage you to Amen as we slowly transition into another direction. Yeah, I love doing learning to live in truth. I love being able to engage With people here. I can't do that so much. So asking God, how can I Continue to do learning to live in truth? Amen. Continue to keep People, keep you Believing and knowing that you are a diamond. It's rough sometimes, but we're still a diamond. It's rough sometimes, but we're still a diamond. And as we grow, we shine. We get more and more clarity, more and more understanding of life Amen. So I ask God, how do I keep this thing together? The only thing I heard was YouTube. So cause friendly and all of the above. Amen. Come on somebody. So y'all walk with me now as I transition. I want you to follow me now, those of you that are watching faithfully, or listening faithfully. Rather, I want you to follow me as I continue on this journey, because I certainly want to continue to be a light for you, a blessing. Be a light for you, a blessing, a coach, however, you see me, hallelujah. I want to be that for you. Amen.

Speaker 1:

So let's get ready to pray. We are two minutes in, so let's do it. Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god, for allowing us yet another day, a day that we never see again. Pray that we can be productive as we go forth. Pray, god, as I pour into you what you give me. I pray, god, that somebody receives what it is you have for, not just them, but me. I pray, god, that you would speak a word to us all that we might be able to go forth yet another day. I pray, in the name of Jesus, for supernatural understanding. God, supernatural, what am I thinking? The word that I need, god, so that, as I pronounce these names, that it will flow, flow like a river of milk and honey. God, have your way in and through me. Bless every, every ear and every heart as they listen, as they learn, as they grow. I pray God, god, you'll have your way. We thank you, god, and we pray for that one that said pray for me. We lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world that they would be blessed by what they hear. Father, we love you and we thank you In Jesus Christ's name. We do pray, amen, amen, hallelujah. I heard y'all.

Speaker 1:

So we left off. We had two guests. That was really talking about leadership, talking about changing your mind, talking about not having a victim mindset, amen. And when we left off with learning and living truth, we're talking about the descendants of Adam and Eve and the lineage and how we begin to break down the children of the children of the children of the children of the children. Come on, somebody, hallelujah. So that's where we were Left off with verse 20. When we were together with Learning to Live and True, and we have finished up with Jared's descendants.

Speaker 1:

So today we're going to pick up there, verse 21, with Enoch's descendants. Amen, enoch is the son of Seth, so it would be the grandson of Adam. Okay, these are the children of Enoch. It says verse 21,. And Enoch lived sixty and five years and begat Methuselah, methuselah, no, methuselah, and Enoch walked with God. After he begat, methuselah and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years and begat sons and daughters, and all the days of Enoch were 365 years. And Enoch walked with God and he was not. But God took him. Okay, hallelujah. So we read here that out of all of the children thus far that is mentioned, enoch was about the business of God and it said he didn't die. God took him. So they have no evidence of him dying, like God just took him. You know the rapture they say, uh, or the bible teaches us that you know, one will be working in in the in the yard and the other will just be taken up. Yeah, two will be together and just the other one will just be gone. Yeah, so I could have just imagined for a moment this is what happened to Enoch. He just kind of was gone. Yeah, he was there one moment and then the next he was gone. Amen. So verse 25 he says and Methuselah lived in 187 years and begat Lamech and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech 782 years. And we got sons and daughters and all the days of Methuselah were 95. No, I'm sorry, sorry, wait a minute. They were 969 years and he died.

Speaker 1:

And just for a moment, as I was reading, I kind of thought for a second like these people live so long? Right, and you have to wonder why these people live so long. But Enoch only lived 365 years, and he was the only one that's mentioned. That was about the business of God. So are y'all following me? Are you getting what I'm thinking? What I'm thinking, it's like maybe they're here, maybe people that live so long, maybe it's because there's some things in their life that God is bringing into order so that they can live for eternity with Him. Amen, hallelujah. I mean, you know, you know. I mean, when you think about it, it's like when you look at it, looking at it from this perspective, it's like maybe that's why people, they live as long as they do. Maybe that's why yeah, because it's things in our lives that need to be worked out and it might take just that long for it to get worked out so that when they do leave the earth, they have the opportunity to be with jesus and not die death because they never turned their heart over to him. Come on, it's something to think about, right? Yeah, let's go on to 28.

Speaker 1:

He says and Lamech lived 182 years and begat a son. And then this is. Another thing that interests me is that how long it took for them to have children, compared to us in our day now. Right Verse 29,. He said, and he called his name Noah, saying this same shall come. This same shall come for us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed. Okay, he says. And Lamech lived after. He begat Noah 595 years and begat sons and daughters. And all the days of Lamech were 777 years and he died and Noah was 500 years old. Noah begat Shem Ham and Japheth, chapter 6, y'all Moving on. J-fat, chapter 6, y'all Moving on.

Speaker 1:

He said and it came to pass when men begat or began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them. And the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair, fair as pretty, and they took them wives of all which they chose. And they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh, yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. And there were giants in the earth In those days and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bare children to them. They became mighty men which were old men of renown.

Speaker 1:

God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth and it grieved him at his heart. He had made man on the earth and he grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air, for it repented. Yet he that I have made them so I'm just pausing for a second here.

Speaker 1:

Now, age with the descendants and Noah's the last one talked about, talked about thus far, and now we transition into God begins to look at the heart of man and the fact that their heart was wrong, was not for him and they were just doing their own thing. He just wished that he hadn't. He wanted to turn that thing around, because that word repented means to stop and turn. So here he just stopped. He says you know, I will destroy man and beast and everything that's on the earth Because they're not doing it the way I wanted them to do it. In a sense, yeah, they're not doing it the way that I had planned for them to do it. They're busy following their flesh and not the spirit. And you know, I mean especially out in my area in Virginia, in the Central Park. I mean in the last, just in the last week, there's been four murders. Last week it's been four murders, four homicides.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what that's about, but it's like what is going on. It's like sudden, it's kind of one of those things that's been building up. Then it's kind of one of those things that's kind of been building up and then it's a lot of accidents and things of that nature that are happening. And it's like God is tired. He's tired of the flesh.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to say the flesh, not the spirit. Yeah, the flesh, and what the flesh does. The flesh leads to death at the end of the day. And you can do all you want to try to pretend like you don't, but you know you'll know them by their fruit. This is what the bible teaches us. You'll know them by their fruit, where their heart is. Yeah, and the Lord himself, he examines the fruit of his people. He said I wish I hadn't even made them now. So now I'm going to turn this thing around. Yeah, I'm going to turn it around, because wickedness will not prevail over righteousness. Come on somebody, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Look at verse 8. He says but noah found grace in the eyes of the lord. He said these are the generation of noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation and noah walked with god. And noah begat three sons, shem ham, jayfay.

Speaker 1:

The earth also was corrupt before god and the earth was filled with violence. You hear me? I just said we, in our just, where I live, there have been four murders back to back, one after the other. Each day has been one. It's like he says, the earth was filled with violence. God looked upon the earth and beheld it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. So his way had been established. But flesh got in the way and flesh began to follow flesh, he said. And God said unto Noah the end of all flesh has come before me and the earth is filled with violence through them. And behold, I will destroy them with the earth. We have to know that God is about peace, he's about love, he's not about hatred and violence and hurt and harm and all of that. He's not about that. He'll get rid of it before he lets it take rule. These people chose not to follow his way. When people choose not to follow his way and the devil thinks that he's got a foothold over God's people, he will destroy it.

Speaker 1:

People of God, we in a time we really must be prayed up, because the reality is there is so much violence in this world, all over the world. I mean, it's all kinds of things happening in the world. It's a whole bunch of stuff. That's like what is going on, but that's the world we live in. People of God, we need to be praying, not just for ourselves, but be praying for this world. Hallelujah, we must be praying. So I'm going to stop right there. When we pick up tomorrow, we're talking about building the ark. Okay, building the ark we're going to pick up on tomorrow. So y'all, make sure y'all come on back to continue with me as we continue to read out Genesis, as far as the Lord said. So, before we transition over into YouTube and I can see your beautiful faces, at least be able to see your comments and things of that nature, Because I know I will be going live at least once a week, if not twice, and then I'll be putting up videos as I am now. You'll be able to actually see me teaching the video versus just hearing the video, yeah, so let's pray.

Speaker 1:

Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you for our word today, thank you for this lesson, and I just pray, god, that we would all take heed to your word that even in creation, what is going on now, it was going on then, and that, as children of god, that we ought to pray for our brothers and sisters. Pray for those who are not a part of the family of God. Pray for them that they come into you, come into your ways and leave and abandon their own. They would learn to follow the spirit and not the flesh. Give their hearts to you. I pray, god, that we can be your hands and feet. God, that we will be ready and willing to be used by you as we are your vessels.

Speaker 1:

Father, we love you so much and we just want to please you. We pray that this prayer, our prayer, is pleasing in your sight. Again, we pray for that one that said pray for me. We pray, god, that you will continue to make a way out of no way. You are the way maker, father, we love you so much. It's so very grateful. I'm so thankful, god, that I know you. So grateful God, that I'm committed to you. So grateful, god, that you have called me into this place where I can be a helping hand to my brothers and my sisters. We love you.

Speaker 1:

Now, god, in Jesus Christ's name, we do pray. Amen. You now, god, in Jesus Christ's name, we do pray. Amen, Amen and amen, hallelujah. I hope that y'all will come on back with me tomorrow as we continue to go forth, as I said, as we journey through this great book of Genesis. I call it the book of creation. Amen, the very beginning, hallelujah. We love you here now. So many many blessings, so much love from me to you. Y'all have a great day and a great night. Amen and amen.
