Speaker 1:

it is the last day of the week for learning to live in truth. We are so glad to be with you one more time here on god's diamonds in the rough. We are so glad once again to be here and be able to minister to you. But the lord says to hallelujah so um, if you don't know who I am, you should by now. Oh, my Well, my name is Catherine and I am also pastor of Exposed Life Change Ministries right in the heart of Madison Heights, virginia. Amen when we are exposing the enemy. Amen so that your life can truly be changed to the glory of God. Amen.

Speaker 1:

So we have been going through this great book of Genesis. Amen. We have completed 1 John. We're going to go through Genesis and, as far as I know, we'll be going through Revelation and then we're going to see where the Lord takes us from there. I definitely know we'll be here for the rest of the year and possibly another year, but after that we'll see where the Lord takes us, amen.

Speaker 1:

I am always continually asking the Lord to order my steps in a way that he would have me to go, and I hope you are doing the same, amen. So, with that being said, let's go ahead and pray. Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy. Thank you, god, for allowing us yet another day, another opportunity, god, to get into your word. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you would speak now, that we might hear, that we might be able to see what it is you're trying to say to us. I pray, in the name of Jesus, for a supernatural understanding in regard to pronunciation, in regard to what I will go forth and read, god, because I want to be a blessing and not a hindrance, or I want to be completely understood. God, as we go forth in this hour, I pray, god, that you will bless every ear and every heart, every diamond that is here, god, that they might get what it is you want to give them. Father, we love you so much and we're so very grateful, so thankful. We pray that this prayer, all of our prayers, are pleasing in your sight. In Jesus Christ's name, we do pray Amen, amen, hallelujah. So we are getting ready to get into the word Amen, amen, hallelujah, let's get into the word Amen, amen, hallelujah, let's get into it. So we left off.

Speaker 1:

We start in chapter 5. Where we left off, we were talking about the descendants of Lamech, and it let us know that another murder was committed. Violence had began to really show its ugly face, and so he's kind of you know, not excusing what he's done, but just saying you know, this is what happened. And it goes on. The Bible goes on to talk about another child that Adam and Eve had together, and we pick up here at five verse one says this is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man in the likeness of God, made he him Male and female, created he them and blessed them and called their name Adam. In the day when they were created and Adam lived 130 years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth. And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years and he begat sons and daughters, and all the days that Adam lived were 930 years and he died. Okay, so when we open up this door amen we talk about we get a refreshing reminder of what this book is all about in regard.

Speaker 1:

Well, not all about, but we get a reminder of the day that God created man, the fact that it says in the likeness of God made he him. So God took himself, put himself into that dirt and created a being that was like him and a reflection of him. He said male and female. Then he says he blessed them and he made their name Adam. So the married couple true enough is two of you, but you're one in him, okay, one in him.

Speaker 1:

When God sees husband and wife, he sees husband first, amen, hallelujah, because he's taking you out of him, amen. So when he sees Michael and Catherine, he sees Michael first. Not that I am insignificant, not valuable, but he created me out of the womb of Adam. Amen, I am his rib, hallelujah, amen. And so when he looks at my husband in regard to the family, he looks at him and says you're accountable for her, amen. What she does, what she doesn't do, you are accountable for her and yourself, amen.

Speaker 1:

So Adam had his son, seth, at 130 years old. That's like what? That make your head spin right? 130 years old In this day, having a child? That's crazy, right? But the Bible goes on to tell us that after he had Seth, he lived another 800 years before he died. So that makes 130 plus 800, 930 years old when he passed away jesus. That's a long time, right? You imagine living almost a thousand years. Amen, that's dinosaur years. Right, that's the first. The length of time the first man lived in the earth and was producing and doing everything that God had desired for him to do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, even though he failed in the very beginning, it did not stop the purpose of God for his life. Amen. Even though he's sin that is a nugget for somebody Even though you sin, it does not stop the purpose and the plan of God for your life. Matter of fact, it's a part of it, amen, it's a part of it. Amen. The failures, the mistakes and all of that Are what God wants to do in and through you. Amen, amen, hallelujah. So don't despise the shortcomings, don't despise it, because it's all a part of your upcoming Hallelujah To God. Be the glory. Receive that Amen.

Speaker 1:

Now verse six. He says and Seth lived 105 years and begat Enos. And Seth lived after he begat Enos 807 years. So he lived. He didn't live as long as his father, but he lived after he had his first child. He lived 807 years, versus Adam Living 800 years After the birth Of Seth. So he said and he begat sons and daughters, and all the days of Seth Were 912 years and he died, y'all excuse me. So 930 years for Adam, 912 years for his son, seth, he says, verse 9. And Enos lived 90 years and begat Cainan. Cainan, he says. And Enos lived after he begat Kainan, k-i-n-a-n, k-i-n-a-n, he says, and Enos lived after he begat Kainan 815 years and begat sons and daughters, and all the days of all the were 905 years and he died. Okay, now, remember, enos is Seth, seth's son. Okay, so that would make Adam the great grandfather. No, so that would make Adam the great grandfather. No, that would make Adam the grandfather of Enos.

Speaker 1:

Okay, got to keep up with it now, and I was telling y'all last episode to make sure you get your pen and paper and do like a family tree as you go along. Now, you know you might have to listen to it a couple of times. Or you know, just listen to it here and then go back and get personal study and do it, you know, on your own, just because it's a lot of names, um, but a friend of mine well, actually not a friend, but my sister-in-law, um, a while back she gave me a, a it's like a scroll. It looks like a scroll and it's called the biblical. The bible. No, the biblical. Generational general. No, the biblical genealogy. I'm looking at y'all and it has like the beginning, like all, like who we got who and who we got I mean, and it's beautiful, it really is. Um, I was so grateful, thankful, when she gave it to me.

Speaker 1:

It's got so much information from genesis, that from actually the old testament this is, like you know, all packed into one. It's a powerful thing. Uh, she got it off of amazon. It's called the biblical geneogy and it looks like a scroll and it's about, I think it's 11 by 15. And I actually have it in a frame on my wall. That's just how precious it is to me. So, definitely, if you get the opportunity to get that, go on Amazon and look for it. I'm sure you can get that there or you can create your own. But, like I said, you got information on that, on this scroll, um, from genesis all the way to um, the new testament. Yeah, from the beginning to the end. Um, it's just packed in with important information. Yeah, that we can definitely use in teaching, preaching and so on and so forth. Yeah, also, come on back to the scripture.

Speaker 1:

So Enos was 905 years old when he died. All right, verse 12 he says and Kainan lived 70 years and began and begat Begat Mehalalil Mehalalil Y'all bear with me please Mehalalil Mehalalil yeah, he said. And Kainan lived after he begat Mahalalelil 840 years and begat sons and daughters and all the days of Kainan were 910 years and he died years and he died. And Mahalaleel lived 65 years and begat Jared. And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared 830 years and begat sons and daughters and all the days of Mahalaleel were 895 years and he died. And Jared lived 1062 years and begat Enoch 62 years and begot Enoch. Jared lived after he begot Enoch 800 years and begot sons and daughters and all the days of Jared were 962 years and he died.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to pause right there. So so far, jared even outlived Adam. He said he lived 962 years and adam lived 930. So jared lived 32 years longer than he is. So jared would be his. Oh boy, let's see jared goes back. Let's see you got one, two, three, four, five. So you got great, great, great, great, great. So five generations back would be great, five, it would be great, great, great, great, great. Grandpa, adam is wow, that's a lot right. Yeah, absolutely, man.

Speaker 1:

So I'm gonna stop right there, okay, because that's a lot of information and you want to take time to write it all down. I'm gonna come back on monday and we're gonna pick it up, because we have a lot of names still yet to go through. Um, yeah, yeah, we still got, yeah, so we don't we? Yeah, yeah, we'll stop right there. I want to go forward, y'all, but for time's sake I'm gonna stop, just because I have to. I have to keep my, my time no more than 20 minutes at the most. I'm going to stop right there and we're going to go ahead and pray. Father, we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy again, and I thank you, god, for ushering me through saying these names, yeah, and I thank you that people are following along and getting what they need, and I pray that this helps All that has an ear to hear. Father, I love you and we love you and we pray that this prayer and all of our prayers are pleasing, pleasing in your sight. We pray this prayer in Jesus Christ's name. We do pray. Amen, amen and amen, alright, y'all.

Speaker 1:

So I know that was a bit heavy, but, um, what are the things that we can think about as we wrap up and get ready to go home? We can actually think about the life expectancy or the life span at that time. I mean, that's a long time. You can only imagine the things that they did, the things that they built, the things that they produced in that time. You're talking about almost a century or decade. I think it's a decade. Yeah, almost a decade of life A man from one person. Imagine how many children they might have had. Everything that was going on at that time.

Speaker 1:

I mean, come on, they ain't have no laws like that. Because we hear about the laws, we didn't really hear anything about the laws. Well, we didn't hear about the laws. I'm sure there were laws in place, because what I found out over the years of studying the Word of God is that each book offers a different perspective of the time. So when you talk about, like, when you look at the book of chronicles, you'll find out things that was happening in genesis and kind of put in perspective into this one big story.

Speaker 1:

It's like you know, we say it about the new testament all the time. It's a good example mark matthew, mark, luke and john they was all there with jesus, but each of them had a different position, different perspective, a different um. They was like seated in a different room, um, and so what we hear from their perspective it's the same time, just a different perspective. I did because, you know, one was in a different place, where it's enough, so they didn't hear everything, but they heard enough to verify that what the others say was true. So this is kind of like the picture, the Old Testament, that way, you know, even though it's divided up in different ways.

Speaker 1:

But I would guarantee that in this 800 years, somewhere along the line, you had, all of the laws that are in Exodus were instituted at some point in time, just as all of the laws at some point in time was instituted in regard to numbers, I mean everything, you know. It all works together, amen, to make this great story of God's creation and God's creation and God's provision and God's protection, and on and on and on and on, amen. So you know, I guess my, my word is don't get caught up in, you know, don't get so caught up in the legalistic side of the word of god. If nothing else, this book is more about us personally. It really is a personal, um, it's a personal book about your life, amen, and what it can look like, what it will look like, what can happen and won't happen. You know this is life's manual. Yeah, at the end of the day, this is your manual for life, amen. And so it's going to be personal. It's only as personal as you make it. Let's put it that way only as personal as you make it. So make it as personal as possible as possible, amen.

Speaker 1:

So y'all make sure that y'all tune in friday and saturday, as we have two interviews from god's diamonds in the rough. I mean, we're getting down to the last little bit that we have pre-recorded and um, after that we're gonna see where the lord takes us, because he had put into my spirit about using ordinary or beginning to do interview ordinary people, like here in my area, and putting them on our show. So we don't see, that was just a little, lord, I get a little something I just put in the air. Y'all be in prayer for me as I go forth. Amen, because I definitely want to be following the will of God and not doing Catherine's thing. You understand what I'm saying? Hallelujah. So y' I'm saying Hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Y'all be praying for me. Pray for God's Diamond Network, pray for God's Diamond in the Rough. Pray for this is all that I am doing. Pray for me, pray for my family, god, and you know that we would do the will of the Lord. Yeah, so Learning to Live in Truth will be back on back on monday, and make sure y'all tune in. Um, y'all have a great night, great day, great weekend, and lord's will. We'll be back to meet you again on monday.
